Cords that are cracked, frayed, cut or damaged should be inspected and then used only if you feel it is safe.

Two pronged cords should only be used with equipment that is “double insulatedâ€
Never use electrical equipment if any part of your body is in water.
Keep cords away from heating devices and water.
Cords should be inspected frequently especially at the plug and connectors.
Extension cords must be of at least the same thickness & rating as the cord on the equipment that is being plugged into it.
Immediately disconnect any equipment that begins to smoke or gives you an electrical shock.
